  • For those who are familiar with a program called Miranda, this software will make more sense to you. The Miranda NG is basically the upgraded version of the original Miranda application. It’s a Windows instant messaging client, which is designed to be easy to use, fast and very customizable.

    How Can Miranda NG Help You?

    While this software is similar to the old version, Miranda IM, it however has a few new features that will tickle your fancy. Thanks to a number of plugins, the Miranda NG enables you to use many protocols from various networks. Apart from this, you are capable of using services from Facebook, Yahoo, AOL Instant Messenger, Gadu-Gadu, ICQ, Internet Relay Chat, Jabber, MSA, MSN, Skype, Twitter, and even WhatsApp on this application.

    Other features on this application enable you to perform database encryption, meaning that your message history is automatically encrypted and secure. That is not all, you can even further select what level of encryption you want to use in protecting your chats and messages. You can either choose to go with the standard level that only makes use of passwords or security tokens, or you can opt for an advanced level which includes all string settings, events and complete histories.

    Key features include:

    • Ability to import contacts;
    • Supports database encryption;
    • Reliable instant messaging tool;
    • Support for Facebook, Yahoo, AOL Instant Messenger, and many others.

    Summary

    Overall, the Miranda NG application is not only lightweight but also swift and reliable for securing your chat history and messages. It uses a small space on your system and all the menu layout are customizable.
