mrViewer is a handy tool designed to play videos and browse images. Unlike standard video players, the utility offers a couple of additional functions, which allow customizing video play settings. There are many video players and utilities to browse images. Usually, it is enough to use the one you have by default like Windows Media Player. However, if you need to change the display settings for the video or prepare it to be visualized in a more advanced manner, an app like mrViewer will be of use.

Why Use mrViewer?

mrViewer is a portable app designed to play videos of all popular formats. It allows you to select numerous options to change display options. Although the interface is not quite intuitive, there are tooltips built in, so you can easily figure up the meaning of each button. It is very easy to add files to the playlist by simply using the drag-and-drop function. After you move the file to the main panel, it is added to the playlist. When you play a video, you can change various parameters like frame rate, RGB value, gamma, exposure, etc.

You can also assign hotkeys to control a specified menu as you see fit. There are numerous commands that can be assigned to different hotkeys like using a pen to edit images, switching to a full-screen mode, etc. There are many other features that make mrViewer a valuable asset for those who need advanced functions when dealing with media files:

  • Multiview.
  • Supports numerous formats for video and images.
  • Grease pencil enable.
  • Network syncing.
  • Supports animated GIFs.

Summary

To conclude, mrViewer has numerous valuable features that make it a good tool when you deal with media content, however, the interface is not so intuitive. It is more useful for those who need to change or modify files than for those who just want to view them.
