Why should you give Shotcut a try?

Shotcut is a tool that allows you to adjust and retouch your favorite movies in a few clicks. To begin with, the utility comes with a simple and user-friendly interface. The software supports many popular video, audio and image formats. The 'Multi-format Timeline' that the app comes with allows you to mix and match resolutions and framerates while editing.

Shotcut opens and plays MLT XML as clips. What is more, the utility allows you to create and play MLT XML playlists. It needs to be mentioned that the app comes with a set of filters that enable you to customize the appearance of the movie. There are also audio filters included. For instance, the 'Balance,' 'Gain,' 'Pan' filters, which allow you to adjust some sound issues in your file.

There is an 'Encode' component that enables you to convert video to such output formats as M4A, MXF, VOB, FLV, MP4, M2T, MPG, AVI, MOV, OGG, and WebM. It should be pointed out that the software allows you to stream the video using the network protocol scheme, address port, and parameters like an URL address.

Main features:

  • User-friendly interface.
  • Simple to use.
  • Various video filters.
  • Audio filters available.
