The taskbar in Windows 10 is one of the most useful tools you will be using on a daily basis. However, it does not mean you want it to be visible all the time. To do this, you just need to perform the following actions:  

Right-click on any free space on your taskbar (if the tablet mode is currently active, just hold your finger on the taskbar).

Open taskbar settings.

Switch the “Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode” option on (this also works in the tablet mode).

The taskbar will not be visible until you move the mouse to the taskbar area. When your cursor reaches that area, the taskbar shows up as it was. To make the taskbar visible on a tablet, just swipe up from the bottom.

There are a few more interesting tips and tricks for the taskbar, for example, you can change its position on the screen or reduce the size of the icons on it. Most users are fined with the default look of the taskbar, but if you are not one of them, you can customize it according to your own preferences.
